What is Osteoarthritis?

• A degenerative joint disease that is caused by breakdown of joint cartilage with eventual loss of the cartilage between the bones.

• The disease usually affecting the hands, feet, spine, and large weight-bearing joints, such as the hips and knees can be very painful. Joint inflammation and decreased range of motion are noticeable.

Most cases of osteoarthritis have no known cause, and are called primary osteoarthritis. When the cause of the osteoarthritis is known, the condition is called secondary osteoarthritis.

What should I expect from wearing Prolotex™Arthritis Gloves?

Several things start to happen when you wear Prolotex™ Arthritis Gloves. Most people will feel less joint pain within a few hours. Depending on the stage and development of your arthritis, it may take more or less time to feel any relief. 

Changes to the bones always take a bit longer than changes to soft tissues, so you need to give the FIR Gloves time to work for you.  We suggest wearing the gloves as often as possible, for at least two weeks.

You will want to wash the gloves once and a while and it is best to use cold water. We suggest using a mild or natural soap rather than harsh detergents.  Bleach or hot dryers are not good for the fabric.
